Hi, is it possible to increase the duration for extending the session? I was searching for supporting information online, and found that my submission was not saved due to expiring session. It would be even better to have autosave function upon expiry of session.

Another suggestion is to include a "save draft" function, in case we need more time to work on it prior to submission. Some of us may not be ready to show our submission before it is completed. Thanks!

Hi carolynfu, the extension of session for trend creation is not functioning properly. Even as I was typing, it prompt me that the session is ending due to inactivity. Could you help rectify the bug? Thanks.

Hi Dan, Thanks for getting in touch and thanks especially for your suggestions about the “save draft” and “autosave” functions. We will look into those options as we work to improve the platform. We are sorry you ran into a timeout and we realize that this may be an inconvenience. Session expirations are necessary at our current state, as they allow us to free up valuable resources for other users as users become inactive. Please note that the system will not recognize typing as activity and it will time out 30 minutes after the last time the page was reloaded. In the long-term, we hope to improve this system to facilitate a better user experience. We welcome feedback in this process, so feel free to voice any further ideas you have. We suggest publishing and then saving frequently to avoid running into timeouts. If you wish you take some time to write out your entry before submitting it, we suggest drafting your proposal in Word first. Thanks for being a part of our community! Best, Johannes |

There was a brief outage on the site on Sept 30 as our engineers were reconfiguring the system to extend the contest deadline. I hope you were able to submit you entry after that.
